Floamp is a specialist consultancy operating at the intersection of electric vehicle technology and energy management. We work with technology developers, fleet operators, public sector bodies, and growth-stage businesses to turn complex EV and energy challenges into clear, commercially grounded strategy.
Our work spans the full value chain — from early-stage feasibility and business case development, through to infrastructure deployment, financial optimisation, and market entry.
Businesses building EV or energy management products who need commercial strategy and market entry support alongside their technical roadmap.
Organisations evaluating or executing EV transition — from feasibility and funding through to infrastructure deployment and long-term energy cost optimisation.
Councils, transport authorities, and government-backed organisations navigating procurement, V2G programmes, and net zero infrastructure commitments.
Companies evaluating EV and energy management as a strategic opportunity — needing rigorous business case development and market assessment before committing capital.
Strategic input on a defined challenge — structured around your timeline and decision points.
Scoped engagements with defined deliverables — feasibility studies, business cases, market assessments, bid support.
Ongoing strategic support — for organisations where EV and energy management is a sustained priority.
We understand the technology well enough to model it accurately, and the commercial environment well enough to make it viable. That combination is rare.
Our current engagements include Innovate UK-backed V2G feasibility studies and public sector contract bids. We're not advising from the sidelines — we're working on the problems now.
From early feasibility through to deployment and ongoing energy management optimisation. We work across the entire lifecycle, not just one part of it.
We have no products to sell and no technology partnerships that distort our advice. Our only interest is the quality of the strategic outcome for our clients.
We work across four main client types: technology developers building EV or energy management products; fleet operators evaluating or executing EV transition; public sector bodies navigating procurement and V2G programmes; and growth-stage businesses assessing EV and energy management as a strategic opportunity.
Engagements vary by client and challenge. We take on advisory work (strategic input on a defined question), project-based engagements (scoped deliverables such as feasibility studies or business cases), and retained arrangements for ongoing strategic support. Most engagements begin with a conversation about the problem before any scope is agreed.
Yes. V2G is an active area of focus for Floamp. Current engagements include V2G feasibility studies supported by Innovate UK funding, and public sector contract bids in the V2G space. We bring specific expertise in V2G economics, grid services, and programme design.
Most EV consultancies focus on either the technical or the commercial side. Floamp operates at the intersection of both. We don't separate the technology from the business case — our value lies in making both work together. We also have no products or vendor relationships that would distort our advice.
Yes. We identify and structure access to grant funding including Innovate UK programmes, and model the financial case to support applications. We have direct experience of funded engagements in the EV and energy management space.
The best starting point is a conversation. Use the contact form or email us at hello@floamp.com with a brief description of what you're working on. If it sounds like something we can add value to, we'll suggest a call to explore further — with no obligation on either side.
Advisory, project-based, and retained engagements. No obligation — just a conversation about whether we're the right fit.
